Africa Business Centre

The Africa Business Centre (ABC) is an industry-led organisation run under the auspices of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. Established 15 years ago as the UK West Africa Action Group, ABC was launched in 2010 to broaden UK WAAG’s original West Africa brief to include all of Sub-Saharan Africa. ABC heightens awareness of opportunities in Africa’s growing energy sector, promotes the UK’s expertise and capabilities and assists its members in entering these difficult markets.

ABC is the UK’s largest organisation of its kind and is widely regarded as the leading support mechanism for companies entering African energy markets. It acts as the clearing house for a stream of company referrals from agencies both in the private and public sectors and its reach and network extends far beyond its member base. ABC seeks to gather and disseminate African market and country information of all types, works with companies to assist their entry into the market, engages the support of government organisations and leads market visits and trade missions to the region.
